United States Olympic Commitee

USOC Mission: To support United States Olympic and Paralympic athletes in achieving sustained competitive excellence and preserve the Olympic ideals, and thereby inspire all Americans.

 

 

 

U.S. Figure Skating

U.S. Figure Skating is the official governing body for the sport of figure skating in the United States, recognized as such by both the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and the International Skating Union (ISU). As the governing body, U.S. Figure Skating's mission is to provide programs to encourage participation and achievement in the sport of figure skating. Among other things, U.S. Figure Skating's status as governing body gives it the authority to regulate and govern the sport in the United States, create rules for the holding of tests, competitions and other activities, and to organize and sponsor competitions for the purpose of stimulating interest in the sport. Special Olympics

Special Olympics is an international nonprofit organization* dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society through sports training and competition. Special Olympics offers children and adults with intellectual disabilities year-round training and competition in 30 Olympic-type summer and winter sports . There is no charge to participate in Special Olympics. (*Special Olympics is recognized as a tax-exempt organization under U.S. Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).)

Skate Canada

Skate Canada is an Association dedicated to the principles of enabling every Canadian to participate in skating throughout their lifetime, for fun, fitness and/or achievement.

 

 

Skaters' Fund

The Skaters' Fund assists coaches and performing skaters who need financial assistance due to sickness, disability or age. The Fund is a private, nonprofit organization, founded in 1999, that serves disabled skaters across the United States.

 

 

Ice Skating Institute

The Ice Skating Institute is an international industry trade association encompassing all aspects of the ice skating industry.

ISI was founded in 1959 as a nonprofit organization for owners, operators, and developers of ice skating facilities. For over 45 years, ISI has become the industry trade association for progressive ice skating facilities, managers, coaching professionals, suppliers and individual skaters.

 

 

International Skating Union

The International Skating Union (ISU) was founded in 1892 and is the oldest governing international winter sport federation

The National Council of Youth Sports

Comprises the who's who in the youth sports industry. NCYS boasts 170 members from organizations who serve more than 52 million boys and girls participating in organized youth sports throughout the U.S.A.


World Figure Skating Musuem & Hall of Fame

The World Figure Skating Museum & Hall of Fame is the international repository for the sport of figure skating. The only institution of its kind in the world, the Museum is dedicated exclusively to the preservation and interpretation of the history of figure skating.

The greatest names in figure skating are honored in the World and U.S. Hall of Fame. Induction into the Hall of Fame is the highest honor a figure skater can achieve.
