BETTY BERENS AWARD
Established in memory of Betty who gave unselfishly of her time and talent both on the ice and off. It is presented to a coach who has overcome adversity-physical or emotional-who has continued in dedication and perseverance to serve their profession with dignity and fortitude.

COACH OF THE YEAR
Presented to a person who is actively coaching and who, along with other criteria, serves as a role model, exemplifies the highest standards of ethical behavior, has complete competence in skating expertise, promotes integrity, has concern for the welfare of others and has made a significant impact on athlete performances at the highest levels of competition.
