Assistant Coach,Synchronized Skating Program
Basic Function/ Purpose: Responsible for being the Assistant Coach of the Synchronized Skating program, assisting the Head Coach with on and off-ice coaching, practice preparation and choreography. Assist in the recruitment of student athletes, monitor strength and conditioning programs, monitor team study halls, order and maintain equipment, and organize team travel. Will also performs other duties as assigned by the Athletic Administration as well as assigned by the Head Coach. Must abide by the rules and regulations of Adrian College as well as US Figure Skating and other appropriate governing bodies.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree; member of US Figure Skating as well as the Professional Skater's Association; National- level coaching and/or skating experience; Current knowledge of the ISU Judging System for synchro; current knowledge of Microsoft Office. Desired but not required: synchro competitor at the junior, senior or collegiate level. Accomplished Gold MIF, pre-gold or higher level dancer.

Full-time, 12 month position with a stipend, room and board and health insurance.

The Reykjavik Figure Skating Club is looking for a head coach and a part time coach.  The club currently has about 300 skaters, about 100 of them competitive.  The club will employ 6-7 other part and full time coaches during the season as well.

 Responsibilities of head coach include:
 -  Planning and organizing of groups and practice schedules.
 -  Preparation for competitions.
 -  Planning of 1-2 shows during the season.
 -  Being a liason between the board and other coaches.
 -  Actively participate in training of junior coaches.

Qualifications of head coach:
 -  Coaching credentials.
 -  Experience as a head coach.
 -  Excellent knowledge of the new ISU jugding system.
 -  Good communications skills.

The club is also looking for a part time coach.  Responsibilites will range from making programs to teaching skating school, depending on the experience level.  Some
coaching experience is a must and a skating instructor diploma is a plus.
