Unique Coaching Opportunity – Adrian College Varsity Skating
Adrian College is growing! We are now accepting applications for the position of a full-time synchronized skating and figure skating assistant coach. The eleven-month contract will begin immediately. The responsibilities will include coaching, assisting in the planning and organization of practices, competition day duties, recruiting, assisting with off-season practices, strength and conditioning programs, learn to skate, and other assignments requested by the head coach and/or the Director of Athletics. The assistant coach will assist with the Varsity Synchronized Skating Teams (Open Collegiate, Senior) and the new Varsity Figure Skating Team (intercollegiate team skating). Opportunities for private and group lesson instruction are also available.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and PSA Membership
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with skill instruction, practice/competition plan development, and administrative responsibilities in the sport of synchronized skating
National and/or international skating and/or competitive experience in synchronized skating
Candidate must be a self-starter, be able to work well independently and as part of a team, understand and comply with all USFSA rules and regulations, adapt to a changing workday schedule, and have excellent organization & communication skills.

Coaching Position – Lake Minnetonka FSC (4/18)
The Lake Minnetonka Figure Skating Club Windjammer’s Synchronized Skating Team is currently seeking a coach for our program. We have a long standing tradition of fielding multiple synchro teams from Beginner to Junior levels. During the current season our teams included Pre-Juv, Juvenile, Open-Juv and Intermediate.
Our new coach will have experience with synchronized skating, a strong aptitude for choreography, genuine enthusiasm for the sport of Synchronized Skating and a desire and ability to motivate our skaters and grow our teams into the future. Knowledge of IJS scoring is preferred.
This is a part-time position which will require working evenings and weekends. Synchro Coaching Opportunity for Oxford (OH) Skating Club (4/11)
The Oxford Skating Club is seeking to hire SYNCHRONIZED TEAM - COACHING STAFF for the 2013-2014 competition season. OSC skates at the Goggin Ice Center, on the campus of Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio. Additional information can be found at www.oxfordskateclub.com.
The Board is seeking energetic, talented, experienced coaches that will provide an atmosphere that allows our skaters to develop to their fullest potential in a positive, supportive environment. This year we had a USFS Pre-Juvenile Team and USFS Open-Juvenile Team; but, exact composition of future teams will not be determined until after Tryouts are conducted on Saturday, May 4, 2013.
Qualified candidates must be PSA member, USFSA member, and current/future Category A certified coach. Compensation will be commensurate with level of responsibility, amount of experience, and any other relevant factors as determined by the OSC Board of Directors.

Candidates must have a current working knowledge of the International Judging System rules and regulations, a thorough understanding of the U.S. Figure Skating rulebook and ISU communications, and at least two years of competitive coaching experience. In addition, national and international experience as a competitive synchronized skater is strongly preferred.
The successful candidate will possess a sound commitment to the sport of synchronized skating, along with the ability to teach, motivate, evaluate athletes, and commit to assist with Team Excel’s mission of building strong, high quality, competitive teams that promote good sportsmanship while encouraging our skaters’ growth and confidence through a team experience.
The individual hired will be responsible for assisting the Director of Synchronized Skating in coaching, preparation and organization of daily practices.
