What do you do at PSA?
I am the receptionist for PSA. The receptionist is most likely the first person that you will speak to when calling the PSA. Receptionist will:
- provide basic information to members calling with questions about CERs, membership, insurance, events, ratings, and rankings
- assist members with membership renewals & insurance purchase & certificates
- assist members with event registration and product purchase
- help members locate information on the PSA website
- provide login/password information for the website
- connect member calling to staff person that can best help them with their question
How long have you worked at PSA?
I have just begun my 6th year at the PSA
How did you become involved with PSA?
I knew a PSA staff member who knew that I was looking for a job. When there was an opening, she called me.
Do you have any skating/coaching experience?
My daughter skated for 11 years at the Rochester Figure Skating Club, and skated on the Rhythm & Blades synchro team for nine years
Do/did you play any sports?
I walk, bike and snowshoe.
What do you enjoy doing while not at work?
I like to garden, travel, and spend time at our lake cabin.
Where are you from?
I grew up on a farm near Osage, Iowa, about an hour south of Rochester, MN.
Where is your favorite place to go?
Disneyworld
What is your favorite dessert?
Crème brulee
What is your favorite thing to watch? (sport/type of movie/tv show/etc)
TV dramas, college and pro football
What is your favorite form of entertainment?
Attending plays (especially musicals), concerts, and movies
What is your favorite sound?
Choral music and marches (e.g. John Phillip Sousa)
If your house was on fire and you could only grab three things, what would they be?
My husband, my piano, and our photo albums
If you could be given any gift, what would it be?
photographic memory
If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be?
a beta fish
If you were stranded on a desert island and could choose people of 5 professions to come with you, who would you choose?
Linguist, historian, pastor, yoga instructor, author
Who was your favorite celebrity growing up?
Julie Andrews and Clint Eastwood
What is something you do that other people find weird?
Cheer for the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team
What were you working on before doing this?
I worked at a local piano/music store. I have also taught private piano lessons in Rochester for the past 15 years.

What do you do at PSA?
Organize and plan all events so they run like a well-oiled machine.
How long have you worked at PSA?
It will be 6 years this January.
How did you become involved with PSA?
After leaving my position with ISI to come back to Minnesota to be a Grandma, Jimmie asked if I would like to interview for the job.
Do you have any skating/coaching experience?
Absolutely! I was on skates at age 2, started skating seriously at age 12, and was UGL Intermediate Ladies Champion in 1970. I have been teaching for 40+ years (geez that’s a long time), plus directing programs, camps and events in Minnesota since the dinosaurs roamed.
Do/did you play any sports?
Yes – long time ago I played tennis but I won’t tell you how long ago. The league was called the LOVELYS.
What do you enjoy doing while not at work?
Attending Bella’s (my granddaughter) activities & events, being outside, and taking my pooch for walks.
Where are you from?
Well my Dad told me I was hatched so maybe a chicken coop???
For real ~ I’m home grown Minnesotan.
Where is your favorite place to go?
If possible a desert island in the Pacific with Raul the pool boy with no cell phone, computers, ipads or TV.
Wait….I would have withdrawals if I didn’t have my phone.
What is your favorite dessert?
HMMMMMMMMMMM not sure I have one.
What is your favorite thing to watch? (sport/type of movie/tv show/etc)
No question- the Olympics
What is your favorite form of entertainment?
I love to go to the theater, but don’t get to it very often. My favorite was seeing Phantom of the Opera on stage. J
What is your favorite sound?
Silence
If your house was on fire and you could only grab three things, what would they be?
Car keys, cell phone and my pooch
If you could be given any gift, what would it be?
Gift of happiness forever and better driving skills
If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be?
I would get hands down another Westie!
If you were stranded on a desert island and could choose people of 5 professions to come with you, who would you choose?
Carpenter to build a hut, chef to prepare the nuts and berries, personnel trainer to keep me in shape, tour guide to help get back home, and an escort to keep me company. J

What is something you do that other people find weird?
I eat the whole entire apple core and ALL.
